I'm seriously not trying to be patroitic or wad but like wad cecilia said, you will be angry even if you are not patroitic to your county! It's like some sort of a personal attack! Seriously, who actually in Singapore speaks english like the way they said?
I just feel really sad for people like them who knows very little about other countries. Take for example, many people still thinks that Singapore is part of Malaysia. Or even worse, China! Please! I suggest everyone: If you dun noe, then say less. If you wanna say, then go find out more!
What's most saddening is that these words are coming out from the mouths of celebrities and professionals. The ones who are expected to know more than us normal people and also to watch what they say. I was just really shocked when I saw the vid. It's, to a point, sickening. I used to respect people who lives in a non-english-speaking environment and is able to speak fluent english. But if that means that they are going to be all arrogant and start criticizing people, I think they dun deserve my respect.
