Ugliness in Mankind...

What has caused mankind to evolve to become so ugly? And by saying ugly, I mean the inner heart and not the outer appearance at all.

Juz a few weeks ago, I attended this supposedly art event organized by the Singapore Arts Festival committee. It was a performance on the water along boat quay. I was really disappointed by what I saw. To me, one of the word I can link with Art is "civilisation". But during then, I only saw the crudeness and ugliness of mankind. Yes, it was a free performance. Not only was the place crowded like crazy, people was pushing others when they want to move. This was really dangerous because there are old people and kids standing along the steps. If someone lost his/her footing when they get pushed, everyone will start falling like dominoes! Imagine the number of injured parties?! Also, I could not stand the way they muttered stupid comments as they watched the performance. It's like openly saying "I don't know how to appreciate art"! It's really ridiculous. In the end, I couldn't even watch the show properly. Now I understand why arts performances are usually held in theaters and the prices are usually pretty steep. I guess it is to control and preserve the standards. After this experience, I feel sorry but I dare-say that we need lots of work and more effective ways to become an art hub.

Even in cases of disasters, like the earthquake in Sichuan, people can still show their ugliness by taking the money the rest of the world took time to effort to come up with and keep it in their own pockets! What kind of human are these? I can't believe that I'm actually the same kind of creatures as these bastards!

Last but not least, regarding the issue of general citizens abusing bus drivers. Trust me, they deserve it. My own friend had this experience. She is currently studying in polytechnic so she has a polytechnic ez-link card. For some reasons, she did not remove her secondary sch's ez-link card from her wallet. So there was this one time, when she attempted to tap her card, she accidentally tapped the wrong one and the bus driver found out. Then he want to confiscate her card. What kind of ridiculous thing is this? I think he was just abusing his authority, seriously! The card can no longer be of use and it will not hurt if he return it to her normally but he juz confiscated it! I mean, it is stated that they are allowed to confiscate. But that is if you are using someone else's card, isn't it? That card was my fren's with her face on it. Nothing wrong rite? So, I really think the bus drivers deserves it. Before you try to start a campaign or put up any notices, go and educate your bus drivers first alright? Don't make the victims seem like the accused and like the accused get off scot-free.
