THIS IS A WARNING. DO NOT BUY ANY ELECTRONICAL PRODUCTS FROM THIS PLACE...
I personally had this bad experience. I decided to buy this mp4 made in china from Sim Lim one day. So I went and find one that I feel would be good to use. Who knows I had a endless troubles coming my way after I paid and left with it.
Firstly, They did not give me a user's manual and thus, I was not sure how to use it. N the product was really not how I expected it to be... Very depressing. Then I was given a year's warranty but I barely used it 3 months then the earphones jack had probelms. So I sent it to repair. When it was sent to repair, the lady was very rude and did not give me a receipt or anything to use to collect. She also did not take down my particulars or anything to let me or themselves identify which one is mine. So, I knew there would be probelms when I collect and indeed, there was. Today I went to collect. I went to level 2. Then they referred me to level 4, after which I was told to go to level 5. At level 5, finally there was something for me to collect but wad the girl did was she took out all of the mp4s belonging to the model that I'm collecting and told me to identify which one's mine. I took a look at both and confirmed that none of that 2 was mine. Both were badly scratched and look in a bad shape. I told her that and I say I refuse to just take any one and go. Then she went to speak to her boss. I was told to wait for her boss and her boss will settle the problem. Who knows, I waited for almost half an hour. Standing by the counter, blindly waiting. When I asked the girl what time her boss was coming, she said to me in a very rude way that if I dun have the patience to wait, I could go down to level 4 and find the boss myself. WTH seriously... But I told her I'll wait instead because I noe that level 4 is very crowded. So I waited and waited. My fren was like constantly trying to tok to me to make me relaxed but I juz felt more n more irritated as I waited. Finally, the 'boss' came and he sighed damn loud as he walked towards us, giving us a very unhappy face. I wanna say: what kind of boss is this? No wonder most of his staff is so rude! I would like to add that at least his male staff is pretty polite, in a sense. He asked me for my model and things like that. I am fully prepared to argue with him until he gives me a good answer but he just rudely took out an ugly, 'new' (he said it was new but I'm still suspecting it), another model,maybe cheaper than the one I originally have, mP4 and said that he is going to replace mine with that. I was not very happy and felt even worse when he said: "you should be glad, I'm giving u a BRAND new one. No complaints already rite?" To add on to all this, not that I wanna discriminate china people but everyone from this (I dun even noe if u call it a company) is from China.
Last of all, I dun wan anyone else to get this kinda treatment so pls spread the message. I noe 3 counters that belongs to them. They are in Sim Lim Centre, #02-56, #04-55, #05-63. Pls avoid from buying at these counters. They also sell portable DVD players and other stuffs MIC(Made in China). I believe #04-55 is their main station. After this incident, I really lost confidence in China products and told myself never to buy China electronic products again.
